Did You Know. . .


The Texas Legislature made significant changes to Section 142.005 of the Texas Property Code.  This section governs so-called "142 Trusts."  Prior to September 1, 2007, these court-created trusts were available for the benefit of minors and incapacitated persons.  Now physcially disabled persons may use them.  This change and other changes make these trusts more attractive for use as "special needs trusts."  Read more. . . .
